An Audioprosthologist is a highly trained professional that holds a certificate from the American Conference of Audioprosthology, and also holds a State license from the Department of Health as a Hearing Instrument Specialist. Mark Glassman also holds a Board Certification from the National Board of Hearing Instrument Sciences. An audioprosthologist is able to assess the type and magnitude of hearing impairment, provide hearing rehabilitation through hearing aid usage and refer medical conditions to a physician.

Audioprosthologists conduct a wide variety of hearing tests and hearing aid assessments to determine the most appropriate custom hearing amplification for the individuals lifestyle. They are able to present a variety of treatment options, which include prescribing, fitting and evaluating hearing instruments and other devices and counseling. An Audioprosthologist provides individualized consultation services, helping people function more effectively with family and friends in social, leisure, educational and work environments. Audioprosthologists are committed to improving and helping people of all ages hear well.
